Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL specs, features and launch date

Microsoft is expected to launch its new flagship devices Lumia 950 and 950 XL on 6th October.

Lumia 950 is the smaller version, with a 5.2in screen, where as 950 XL is 5.7in. Both supports QHD (1440x2560) OLED display, other specifications includes 3GB RAM, up to 32GB internal storage, a 5MP front camera, and a 20MP  rear camera.

The 950 XL sports a Snapdragon 810 64-bit Octa core processor and 3300mAh battery. The 950, on the other hand, has a Snapdragon 808 64-bit Hexa-core processor and 3000mAh battery.

Both feature a USB Type-C port, Qi wireless charging capabilities and expandable storage via MicroSD slots. The phones is expected to feature an iris scanner for Windows Hello - the password-free sign-in service that is unique to Windows 10.

Another Windows 10 feature the devices look set to support is Continuum. By connecting to a small adapter, the 950 and 950 XL will be able to work with a monitor, mouse and keyboard, essentially turning them into mini-PCs.
